This section highlights the core of my educational and leadership contributions over the past two decades. From curriculum design and program oversight to mentoring, technology integration, and cultural exchange. These responsibilities reflect the behind-the-scenes work that sustains creative, learner-centered education.

Educational Leadership and Curriculum Innovation

  • Directed curriculum development and updates for Industrial Design programs (undergraduate and graduate), including program learning outcomes (PLOs), course learning outcomes (CLOs), syllabi, and instructional outlines, in collaboration with the Curriculum Office and Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment.
  • Led the launch of fully online AA, BFA, MA, and MFA programs in Industrial Design, overseeing curriculum development and production of 45+ asynchronous.
  • Overhauled the department’s alphanumeric course coding structure, applying logical sequencing to improve consistency and curricular transparency—enhancing curriculum clarity, student navigation, and administrative efficiency.
  • Led the design and implementation of an AA degree program in Automotive Restoration in partnership with SMEs.
  • Developed comprehensive curriculum maps to support course reorganization and alignment across programs.
  • Created a master rubric framework to guide instructors in consistent assessment practices.
  • Oversaw the delivery of courses in both synchronous (ILT, vILT, and hybrid) and asynchronous  formats.
  • Conducted portfolio reviews for graduating students, offering individualized feedback and professional development guidance.

Instructional Design and Educational Technology

  • Collaborated with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Faculty Development, and Online Education teams to design media-rich, learner-centered eLearning experiences.
  • Authored and built online and onsite courses in drawing (multiple levels), form development, digital 3D modeling (Rhino 3D, Alias, Modo), design thinking, product design, and transportation design.
  • Taught across delivery modes: onsite, online, and virtual hybrid.
  • Recommended and evaluated new LMS features to enhance usability and engagement; partnered with developers to prototype instructional tools specific to Art and Design education.

Program Oversight and Departmental Leadership

  • Managed faculty and staff (full- and part-time) across multiple programs.
  • Directed logistics of course offerings: scheduling, instructor assignments, and classroom allocation.
  • Facilitated Department Action Team (DAT) meetings and led Curriculum Leadership Team (CLT) initiatives to drive instructional quality and innovation.
  • Participated in the Online Academic Steering Sub-Committee to propose and implement institution-wide educational initiatives.
  • Maintained a safe, creative, and collaborative learning environment for both students and faculty.
  • Hosted annual events for visiting students from an affiliated school in Japan, fostering cross-cultural engagement and academic connection.

Technology Integration and Lab Management

Spearheaded the implementation and ongoing integration of instructional technologies, including:

  • Pen-display input devices
  • Digital visualization software
  • Wide-format printers, laser cutters, and 3D printers

  • Departmental computer lab infrastructure

Community Engagement and Student Development
